Weigh in

Today I weighed in for the first time in a long time. I am the heaviest that I have ever been, weighing in at 180 lbs. That might not seem like much but I am a female who is only 5 foot 1. Let me just say I do not carry this weight well. This week I will be making a plan for groceries and meal plans in order to try to stay on a healthier eating plan. I will also be making a plan for exercise. Unfortunately I will not be able to exercise every day, because of the long hours I work, but the days I am off I will make it a point to get some exercise in. I know it will not go quickly and this is a process that I will have to refine as I go. There will be setbacks, but many more goals met than tears cried. I am excited to use this week to plan and to see what happens next week when everything comes together.

A New Beginning

I have lived the last year of my life slowly gaining more and more weight and becoming more and more unhealthy. I kept telling myself that this is not how I want to live or how I want to die, but nothing I told myself lasted for long. It is always a struggle. Food has either been the bane of my existence or my comfort for the majority of life. I have never had a healthy relationship with it either way. However, it's time now to create something fresh and start over. 

I will be 29 this year, although it feels like I just left home for college yesterday. The time is flying by and if I don't begin changing my life for the better now then when will I? This is my new beginning. I will use this blog as a sort of diary for myself, but will also be posting some fun things for everyone as I come across them. I hope as I learn how to better myself I can inspire others out there to do the same.
